My cousin and me after a day of hunting near our parents' hometown in South Dakota.
I'm Jackson Grad, a secondary level History Education major from Bismarck, North Dakota. I am the oldest of three siblings, and have remained close with them, which has made me a very family-oriented person, and a leader. I grew up with a love for the outdoors and I love to hunt, fish, ski, and hike whenever I have the opportunity to do so.
I graduated from St. Mary's High School, and am now finishing up my academic career at the University of Mary. That is where I discovered the career I believe I am meant to be in: education. I chose History Education because it has always interested me, due to my love of story-telling, and because I believe it is important to know about in order to form well-informed citizens.
I was lucky enough to play sports all through high school, and had the opportunity to play college football. From my experiences playing football I have developed an intense passion for motivating and creating a truly awesome classroom culture. I am also passionate about creating genuine relationships, and good, authentic conversation.
